Weekly Recap - Final Edition of the 2024-2025 School Year!

What an incredible way to wrap up the school year! This week was filled with celebration, joy, and meaningful moments as we closed out another fantastic year with our amazing Eagles.

We proudly honored our Kindergarten and 5th Grade students with end-of-year celebrations to mark these important milestones. Their growth and achievements this year have been truly inspiring!

We also celebrated the retirements of Ms. Counter, Ms. Rincon, and Ms. Valis, three dedicated educators who have made a lasting impact on our school community. We are so grateful for their years of service and wish them all the best in this next chapter.

Classrooms were full of excitement as students enjoyed their end-of-year class parties, creating one last round of memories with their teachers and friends. Our final House Day was a hit, complete with pep rallies during specials, bringing the whole school together in spirited celebration.

The week concluded with an early dismissal on Thursday, officially closing out a year to remember.

Thank you to all our families for your support and partnership throughout the year. It has been a wonderful, eventful year with our Eagles, and we wish you all a fantastic and relaxing summer!
 

Final Report Cards Available in Skyward Family Access

Parents, the moment has arrived! Your child's final report card for the school year is now available in Skyward Family Access. As you review their accomplishments, take a moment to celebrate their hard work, growth, and successes! Whether it’s a big milestone or small victories, they’ve earned a round of applause. Now, it's time to switch gears into summer mode—relax, recharge, and enjoy the sunshine!

Vaccinations

Vaccines are safe and lifesaving. Your child may have fallen behind in required vaccinations over the last year. If your child needs vaccines for next school year, Memorial Hermann Clinic can provide no cost vaccinations for students who are uninsured or have Medicaid. Please call the Memorial Hermann Terry Clinic at (281) 238-0852. Otherwise call your regular primary care physician.

Las vacunas son seguras y salvan vidas. Es posible que su hijo se haya retrasado en las vacunas requeridas durante el último año. Si su hijo o hija necesita vacunas para el nuevo año escolar, por favor llame a la Clinica Terry de Memorial Hermann al 281.238.0852 para obtener vacunas sin costo alguno o a su doctor de cabecera. 
 

STAAR Results: Information for Parents

Final STAAR scores will be available in the TEA family portal starting July 25. You will need to know how to access your child's TSDS number. Please see the attached document for instructions on locating your child's TSDS number.
 

Summer Office Hours & Availability

As we transition into summer, please take note of our adjusted hours and availability:

Week of May 26:
  • Closed Monday, May 26 (in observance of Memorial Day)
  • Open Tuesday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Closed Friday, May 30
Beginning June 2:
  • The Meyer campus will be closed for two weeks. During this time, our administrative assistant and principal will be working out of Steenbergen Middle School.
  • Please call ahead before coming to the school, as there will be several days when we are off-campus attending training.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility, and we’re here to help however we can. Wishing all our families a safe and restful summer!

  • June 3 through June 13 - Office Housed at Steenbergen Middle School
  • June 16 through July 17 - Registration for all Grades at Foster High School
  • July 25 - STAAR Scores Available in the TEA Family Portal
  • August 2 - Back to School Block Party at Lamar High School 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • August 7 - Meet the Teacher from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • August 11 - First Day of School
