Welcome Back, Eagles!

We are so excited to welcome our Elite Eagles back for another amazing year as we continue Elevating the Nest at Meyer Elementary! We hope your family had a wonderful, relaxing, and safe summer filled with fun and special memories.

As we prepare for a successful start to the new school year, we have a few important housekeeping items that must be completed:

Beginning of Year Forms must be completed in Skyward Family Access BEFORE Meet the Teacher on August 7.
Transportation Forms must also be completed in Skyward Family Access BEFORE August 2.

If you need assistance completing any forms, our office is happy to help! Please give us a call and we will gladly assist you.

We can’t wait to see our Eagles soar this year!

5th annual LCISD Back to School Block Party, free for students and families of Lamar CISD, Saturday, August 1 from 9 am to noon at Tomas High School

🚌 Transportation Form Reminder

Don't miss the deadline!

To ensure your child has bus transportation assigned for the first day of school, the Transportation Form in Skyward Family Access must be completed by Sunday, August 2.

Students whose Transportation Forms are not submitted by the deadline will not have bus transportation assigned for the first day of school.

If you're having trouble accessing Skyward or completing your Beginning of Year Forms, please contact the Meyer office by the end of this week. We're happy to help you get everything completed before the deadline so your child is ready for a smooth start to the school year.

✏️ Complete Your Beginning of Year Forms & See Your Child's Schedule Early!

Beginning of Year Forms for the 2026-2027 school year are now available in Skyward Family Access!

Take a few minutes to complete your required online forms beginning July 27, and you'll unlock an exciting perk: your child's class schedule will be available to view on Monday, August 3, before Meet the Teacher!

Completing your forms early means you can:

📅 View your child's schedule as soon as it's released on August 3
⏱️ Skip the long lines and computer lab at Meet the Teacher
✅ Make sure all required information is up to date before the first day of school

All Beginning of Year Forms must be submitted by September 11, but don't wait! The sooner you complete them, the sooner you'll be able to see your child's schedule.

Families whose forms are not complete will have to complete them in the Meyer computer lab before receiving their student's schedule at Meet the Teacher.

Meet the Teacher at Meyer Elementary, August 7 from 5-7 pm. Complete all Beginning of Year Forms in Skyward before attending. Feel free to bring your child's school supplies to the event. We can't wait to see you!

✅ First Day of School Reminders

We can't wait to welcome our Eagles back for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 11! Please review these important reminders to help make the morning run smoothly for everyone.

Doors open at 7:10 a.m. Students may begin entering the building at that time.
Parents are welcome to walk their child to class on the first day only. To help teachers begin their morning routines, please keep classroom visits brief.
If your child will be eating breakfast at school, please walk them to the cafeteria and then say your goodbyes. Our cafeteria staff and hall monitors will make sure every student gets safely to their classroom.
Parents/guardians may not stay to eat breakfast with students. If you would like to spend that extra time with your child, we encourage you to enjoy breakfast together at home before arriving at school. Limiting extended visits in the building helps reduce congestion in the front office, where staff will also be assisting families with enrollment and other beginning-of-year needs.
Please make sure your child's teacher knows how your child will be getting home on the first day, throughout the first week, and whenever transportation changes.
Lunch visitors will not be permitted during the first two weeks of school. This gives our students time to learn routines, build independence, and adjust to the school schedule.
