🚗 Car Rider Updates

Morning Drop-Off
  • We will begin morning drop-off at 7:10 AM.
  • We will open doors on the passenger side of the car. For safety, please put car/booster seats on the rear passenger side of the car.
  • If your student is in a car/booster seat, you will have to unbuckle your child. Legally, we are not allowed to do that.
  • Please unbuckle your student before you get into the drop-off line.
  • Pull up and someone will open the door for your student to exit your vehicle.
  • Do not go around another vehicle unless you have been directed to do so by the campus police officer or a member of the staff.
  • Since instruction begins at 7:45 AM, the doors will close promptly at this time and you will need to drive around to the front of the campus for student drop-off. Since breakfast ends at 7:40, you will need to arrive before that time if your student needs to eat.
  • Please do not let a student(s) out of your car after the doors close. There will not be any adult supervision nor anyone on that side of the building to admit students into the building. For safety, we do not want any unsupervised students.
  • If you are not able to unbuckle the car/booster seat, pull into a parking spot, unbuckle your student, then escort your student to the cross-walk to enter the building.
  • For ECSE and SLC students only, parents please pull up to the cone with the ECSE/SLC sign. You will have to unbuckle your student’s car/booster seat.
  • Please put your hazard lights on so other cars know to go around you.

Afternoon Dismissal
  • We will begin dismissing students at 3:10 PM.
  • Please have your car tag (student number tag) clearly visible--hanging from your rearview mirror or on your dashboard.
  • We will open doors on the passenger side of the car. For safety, please put car/booster seats on the rear passenger side of the car.
  • Pull up and someone will open the door for your student to get into your vehicle.
  • Do not go around another vehicle unless you have been directed to do so by the campus police officer or a member of the staff.
  • These doors will close promptly at 3:30 PM. If you arrive after that time, you will need to drive around to the front of the campus to pick up your student. Please bring your car tag with you to pick up your student, otherwise you will need to show your ID.
  • If you need to buckle your student into a car/booster seat, please pull into a parking spot to do this. This will prevent you from holding up the line for other parents who are waiting in line to pick up their students.
  • For ECSE and SLC students only, parents please pull up to the cone with the ECSE/SLC sign.
  • Please put your hazard lights on so other cars know to go around you.
