🦅 Happy Friday, Eagle Families!

It was another busy and productive week at Meyer! We are so proud of the growth we are seeing in our students this year. Their hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes continue to make us proud to be Meyer Eagles! ❤️🤍💙

We also enjoyed connecting with families at our PTO meeting Thursday evening! If you are interested in becoming more involved and active with our PTO, we would love to have you join us! Please reach out to the Meyer office for more information.

Fall picture day, Wednesday, September 23, students may dress up if they'd like, these are the pictures that will go into the yearbook and on student ID badges; if you did not pre-order your child's picture you will receive a picture proof in a few weeks with an order form

Boots, Buckles, and Bandana Day is Thursday, September 24! Students are encouraged to wear Western attire in honor of the Fort Bend County Fair. The graphic features cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, a red bandana, and Western-themed decorations.
 
Thursday, September 24 students will be released at 11:45 a.m. Start making plans!
 
Friday, September 25 is Fort Bend County Fair Day, a School Holiday

📚 Who's Ready for the BOOK FAIR? 📚

🍂Save the Date for Fall Festival!🍂

Meyer Eagles, it’s time to get ALL IN for LITERACY! 📖✨ Join our district-wide reading challenge and turn your reading minutes into badges and prizes!

Participating is easy:
  1. Log in to ClassLink and open the Beanstack app.
  2. Start logging your reading minutes!
  3. Read just 30 minutes a day—every 60 minutes you read earns you a badge! 🏅
  4. Collect all 12 badges by October 31 to be entered into the LCISD District Raffle! 🎉

Whether you’re reading a chapter book, graphic novel, magazine, or another favorite book, every minute counts! Let’s see how many Meyer Eagles can collect all 12 badges!

🦅 Let’s get ALL IN for LITERACY!

Students who earn all 12 badges by October 31 will be entered into a Lamar CISD district raffle, with prizes drawn at random. 🚢 SchoolStore Family Fun Giveaway ✨

There’s still time to participate in our School Store Fundraiser and make a difference for our school! SchoolStore is a safe and easy way to help provide valuable resources for our classrooms while giving students the opportunity to earn exciting prizes. 

Students who sign up and send invitations to family and friends will receive a Book Buddy™ Mystery Prize just for participating.

 🚢 Plus, participating families will be entered into the Family Fun Giveaway for a chance to win a Caribbean Cruise for four, including airfare, accommodations, and spending money! 

Families who have already participated can increase their chances of winning by sending additional invitations.

🌟 Gifted & Talented (GT) Referral Information

Do you know a student who demonstrates exceptional curiosity, creativity, problem-solving skills, or a strong desire to learn? Any student may be referred for Gifted & Talented (GT) evaluation, whether the referral comes from a parent or a staff member.

Out-of-District GT Transfer Students
Students who are new to Lamar CISD and were previously identified for and actively participating in GT services in another school district may be considered for transfer into the Lamar CISD GT Program.

Lunches of Love

We are proud to partner with Lunches of Love to provide weekend snack bags to Meyer students who may benefit from additional food support over the weekend. Snack bags are provided free of charge and discreetly delivered to participating students near the end of each week.

If you would like your child to receive a weekend snack bag, please email Coach Hawkins with the following information:

  • Grade Level

As a reminder, all students are required to wear their school ID every day while at school.

The initial student ID is provided free of charge; however, replacement IDs for lost or damaged IDs are $5 each.

If your child needs a replacement ID:
